President John F. Kennedy was assassinated as he traveled in an open top car in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. On November 22, 1963, Texas Governor John Connally was also injured. Within two hours Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the murder of a Dallas policeman and by that evening, he was arraigned on a charge of murder in the death of officer J. D. Tippit. At 1:35 the following morning, Oswald was arraigned on the charge of murdering the President. On November 24, 1963, while being transferred from the Dallas Police Department to the county jail, Oswald was shot and killed by Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner. In 1964, the Warren Commission concluded that there was no persuasive evidence that Oswald was involved in a conspiracy to assassinate the President, and stated it was their belief that he acted alone. Critics, even before the publication of the official government conclusions, suggested a conspiracy was behind the assassination.
In 1979, the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) agreed with the Warren Commission that Oswald assassinated Kennedy, but found both the original FBI investigation and the Warren Commission Report to be seriously flawed. The HSCA also concluded that there were at least four shots fired, that there was a "high probability" that two gunmen fired at the President, and that it was probable that a conspiracy existed. The HSCA also stated that “the Warren Commission failed to investigate adequately the possibility of a conspiracy to assassinate the President.”
Polls have indicated that large numbers of Americans believe there was a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy. These same polls also show that there is no agreement on who else may have been involved. A 2003 ABC News poll found that 70% of respondents suspected there was an assassination plot involving more than one person. A 2004 Fox News poll found that 66% of Americans thought there had been a conspiracy while 74% thought there had been a cover-up.

It does not matter how many times we read about this choking news we are still so sad about it. I was a little boy then now in my 50's and still wish that the President was alive. I always thought that there was some sort of conspiracy, but next 11/22 we will commemorate the 50th anniversary of this tragic day in American history and we keep wondering, who did it besides Lee H. Oswald? We know that a meteorite hit Earth 65 millions years ago, men walked on the Moon, Pluto is no longer a Planet, we know about the existence of thousands of exoplanets, we know so much about sophisticated espionage and technology is at its best ever but we cannot put together clear evidence of the so called conspiracy against JFK… Let’s turn the page. Lincoln’s assassination was even more dramatic to USA and we overcame the obstacles. Logic tells me that a secret of that nature is to tough to keep. There had to be a snitch somewhere…We know that JFK cheated on Jackie, we know that Hoover was gay; we know that Jefferson had a black mistress, Elvis drank “whiskey”, a President was smoking cigars in more ways than one, OJ killed his wife, the list goes on and on and somebody from CIA, FBI, CBS, CNN or any ordinary John Doe was not capable of discovering and revealing the conspirators? Something that so many were searching as a very exclusive news!!! It is so tough to admit that a mad man mocked USA intelligence, the police, the press, the politicians, etc. Some incompetent federal agents did not take Oswald seriously and JFK ended up paying the consequences. I no longer think that there was a conspiracy, there had been a cover-up to hide the incompetence of some government officials but that does not change the facts. If there was a conspiracy then CIA/FBI agents are the most incompetent people not in America, but on Earth and the solar system for that matter. Let’s turn the page…Kennedy and Lincoln won’t resurrect. Lincoln was shot by an intellectual, JFK by a major loser right in front of everybody.
